I have made a fantastic discovery recently. A will made by one of my ancestors dating back to 1744! This is from my father's side of the family, with my same surname - Sainsbury, in this case - Robert Sainsbury. Take a look at this:
How do I know this is my relative? My family descends from Sainsburys in the small village of Winterslow in Wiltshire - there are not many of us. My direct descendant is actually the William Sainsbury who is a witness in this will and the brother of Robert Sainsbury. John Sopp is either Ann Sainsbury's father or brother. Her maiden name was Ann Sopp.
This what I think the will says. Let me know if you find any mistakes or can solve some of the more indecipherable writing!
